CSR: Handicapped and Elderly Friendly Environment

Being sensitive to the needs of persons with disability, breast feeding mom’s and elderly, and building SM malls friendly to their condition has been one of the primary goals of SM Supermalls management. This effort has been recognized both here and abroad.

  • On July 17, 2007, The Philippine Gov’t. awarded SM Supermalls the most Disabled Friendly Mall Award for 2007
  • Japan International Cooperation Agency congratulates SM Supermalls for the effort to promote Non Handicapping Environment In The Philippines.
  • Asia Pacific Development Center On Disability invited SM Supermalls at the United Nations Convention Center in Bangkok to present its efforts as a private sector in promoting Non Handicapping Environment In The Philippines.

This program is adding value to the traditional shopping and malling experience here in the Philippines and abroad.
