Are you running a sick company?

By Major (Rtd) Teoh

Are you running a sick company? Is your company’s business
operation functioning properly? How do you know that they are
functioning the way you want them to function?

Like a sick person, here are the symptoms:

 Inability to attract and retain;
 Absence of departmental coordination;
 Under performing;
 High turn over;
 Deteriorating morale reflected in high absenteeism, tardiness etc.;
 Little or no employee participation and involvement in company programmes and activities;
 Declining productivity;
 High scrap and wastage rates;
 Resistence to change;
 Lack of employee enthusiasm to new ideas;
 Escalating labour cost;
 Reluctance to accept responsibility;
 Untrained employees;
 Supervisor – Employee conflicts;
 Crossed reporting line;
 Redundant and duplication of effort;

Please take remedial action before the situation becomes cronic
and causes the collapse of the company.

 Just sharing.

 Regards,
